QP Jewellers Shopping Bag

Terms of Use

QP Jewellers provides this website as a beneficial resource for gemstone jewellery shopping. These terms of use should be read carefully prior to making a purchase.

Product Descriptions & Images

We have taken great care to ensure all of our images depict the item for sale as accurately as possible. However, as all of our gemstones are natural (with exception to Cubic Zirconia items), slight differences in colour may occur from time to time. We do not treat our gemstones or alter the colour lustre in any way. Please also note that the images you see will depend on your monitor, mobile device or television's capabilities and display settings. As a result, we are unable to guarantee that items purchased are an absolute exact representation of the actual merchandise.

Our web site gives you the opportunity to view most items in larger or smaller sizes by clicking on the appropriate images. Every model of computer monitor, mobile device and television is different, with a variety of resolutions and screen settings, and as a result the sizes of our jewellery images may appear to alter. However, we do make every attempt to make our online catalogue as accurate as possible, and our entire catalogue is routinely checked and updated.

Product Availability & Pricing

You can view prices and make orders in one of three currencies: Pounds Sterling (GBP), Euros (EUR) and US Dollars (USD). The exchange rate is variable and will change; there may therefore be slight differences in prices depending on which currency is chosen. The native currency of the QP Jewellers website is Pounds Sterling. With exception to potentially erroneous prices, displayed prices in all currencies are final.

All items at QP Jewellers are made to order. For this reason, unlike many online jewellers, as a customer, you will never experience back order issues when ordering from our store. Fulfilment is guaranteed on every order. For bulk and wholesale purchases, please contact us.

Typographical and system errors very rarely happen due to the accuracy of quality control and exceptional reliability of our server base. However, typographical errors may occur in pricing, product specification and data. Although we make every effort to avoid these situations, sometimes they do occur. QP Jewellers reserves the right to correct any inaccuracies and cancel any subsequent orders as a result of erroneous prices.

Sales, Offers, Coupons & Price Reductions

Discounts can sometimes be offered for multiple purchases by way of a coupon code or as part of a telephone order, or for bulk and wholesale purchases. However, prices set for single items are final and at this point we are not open to negotiation for single items.

Appraisals

Upon request QP Jewellers can issue you with an appraisal certificate. Our appraisals stipulate the independently valued retail price of each piece of jewellery. The appraisal value is calculated using current market data and thorough evaluation of all characteristics of the jewellery to be appraised. The cut, colour, clarity and weight of the gemstone is included, along with the weight of the metal (and/or the value of other materials, such as leather, if applicable.) We offer appraisals to customers as certificates of authenticity. Exact appraisal values are also indicated throughout our web site. For more information or to request an appraisal please contact us and have your order number ready.

Delivery Time Scales

Our aim is for all orders to be dispatched within 48 hours of payment clearing. Occasionally certain jewellery has to be made to order which can take an extra two to five working days. All orders are dispatched by FedEx Express delivery with a usual timeframe of two working days for Mainland UK and two to four working days for non-Mainland UK and countries outside of the UK. When an order is dispatched an automatic e-mail will be sent with details of your FedEx tracking number, which can be used to track the whereabouts of the order prior to delivery. If you require an order to be delivered urgently please contact us and we may be able to assist you.

Insurance & Security

All shipments are fully insured and traceable. For added security orders must be signed for on delivery, which will require someone to be present at the delivery address. In the unlikely event of an invalid or inaccessible address, or lost package, we will contact you immediately and arrange a redelivery.

International Orders

Worldwide delivery is available, however we do reserve the right to refuse any order destined to what QP Jewellers would classify as a high risk country, postcode or zip code. In the interests of cardholder and merchant security we may also ask for proof of card ownership, utility bills and/or bank statements. All information received will be dealt with confidentially. For international orders outside of Europe, please call or e-mail prior to ordering to make sure we can ship to your delivery destination to ensure no delays.

Alternative Delivery Addresses

Orders can be dispatched to a shipping address separate from the address registered to the credit/debit card used to make the purchase. However, in the interests of security we do recommend that your alternate shipping address is registered on file with your credit card company. This helps keep the ordering process simple and reduces the possibility of unauthorised transactions.

Guarantee & Returns Policy

We want you to be satisfied each time you make a purchase from our site. We give you seven days to approve your jewellery from the date you receive your order. For returns, notification by e-mail or telephone must be given during this period, after which approval will be granted and return of the goods will be arranged. If no arrangement is made, goods will be returned to the sender. You are a consumer and not a business customer. When returning jewellery please make sure the item is unused and complete with all tags attached.

Returned jewellery must be unworn and not modified or altered. Thorough checks will be carried out upon receipt of the returned item(s). Removing the attached tag or wearing the jewellery is your acceptance of the jewellery. When an exchange is not possible we will refund the card used for the purchase. Refunds may take up to 30 days to appear on your statement.

Goods which are not damaged or faulty must be returned at your expense. For UK customers we recommend Royal Mail recorded or special delivery with insurance. It is your responsibility to ensure goods arrive with us. If you are an international customer we would recommend using an insured courier such as FedEx. All items must be sent back with original packaging, box and paperwork in order to qualify. Under no circumstances, through defect or otherwise, will QP Jewellers replace a lost diamond, gemstone, or metal part free of charge. It is your responsibility to ensure that every part of the item(s) to be returned, loose or otherwise, is included in the return shipment.

For your protection and safety, earrings are not refundable due to hygiene reasons. We do not accept returns of any customised items. Some items which are made to order and are not part of the normal QP Jewellers inventory are not returnable. This includes any ring orders which are smaller than size J or larger than size V.

The returns address for all items is below. Please send your return(s) to this exact address:

Unit 1
Kingsway House
Kingsway
Newcastle upon Tyne
NE11 0HW
United Kingdom

If an item is received damaged or faulty you may return it for a replacement or refund. In the event that a replacement is not possible, provided that the return would have otherwise qualified for a replacement, a full refund will be offered in addition to the cost of postage both ways.

Items that have been engraved, inscribed, resized or otherwise permanently altered in any way cannot be returned under our policy.

Ethical Policy

All of our diamonds and gemstones are sourced ethically and legitimately. QP Jewellers do not - and will never - buy, sell, nor distribute conflict diamonds (also known as blood diamonds). "Conflict diamonds" is a term to describe diamonds that are sourced from areas controlled by insurgencies and forces that use the subsequent profits to operate illegal activities. We take pride in our strict ethical policy as part of an on-going effort to help eliminate conflict diamonds from the supply chain.
